He had siblings Jesse Sharp, William Fletcher Sharp, Earnest (Earnie) Sharp, Emma Sharp, Vivian Sharp, John Wesley Sharp, Mary Gladys Sharp, Carl Vertis Sharp, James Melbourn Sharp, Charles Edgar Sharp, and Melvin Sharp. He married Frances Catherine Reburn on December 7, 1946, and they were married until Raymond's death on August 20, 1990. Raymond Sharp was buried at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery
