Robert Theodore Sacker

He lived in apartment 504 at 80-15 41st Avenue. Elmhurst, NY 11373. He died at the Metropolitan Opera House during a performance. He was an opera buff! He was my neighbor and a friend. Robert was cultured and well traveled. I saw him in a video on the Orient Express. His cousin and his wife from Ohio came to take care of the funeral arrangements. He was loved by his relatives. The Army buried him as Robert Theodore Sacker! He registered as his real name as S A C K E R! But as an actor he was Robert Sacher, in addition to rave reviews for his role in The Alchemist, he had credit cards official papers under the stage name Robert Sacher. His parents were Beatrice Sacker (May 10, 1901-March 28, 1978) and William Sacker (Austria, 1898). Robert joined the Army and served as a Corporal in Korea. He was extremely proud of having served and insisted on having a military funeral and is buried in Calverton National Cemetery. on Lnng Island.
