I remember that. May have even gotten my brother to assist me once or twice. He was four years my elder. We used to play in the backyard quite often. We often played cowboys and indians before he got too old to play with his little sis. Why I always had to be the indian I will never know.
My cousin Jack and I dug a hole in my Grandmother's backyard that was so big all the kids could sit on the rim. Now I have hole in my backyard for my grandchildern!
The kids in my neighborhood mass produced them and then tried to sell them to our moms. Moms were not happy that some of the pies got into our hair and on our shoes. Total immersion in our product.
My sisters, brother and I made mud pies a lot when we were kids. Im 27 now with an almost 3 year old boy and almost 2 year old girl, they both love to play in the mud as well especially while its sprinkling. I wouldnt have it any other way. My babies also get alot of homemade food and desserts but my dads family is mennonite there for i was raised learning how to cook at a very young age, my kids will learn as well
