Sandy was very close to her mother and even appeared on television. Sandy's mother was Jan Clayton who even referred to herself as "Lassie's Mother." When her mother remarried (Robert Lerner) she had Robin (a girl) Karen (AKA "Kimmie") and a son: Joseph Clayton Lerner. So Sandra Jane Hayden had three siblings. I have been friends with Joseph Lerner since 1971. After his mother died: August 26th, 1983 we kept in touch and he gave me his mother's memorabilia. Some of it has been posted on this website. Sandy's death devastated her mother and for many years she carried around her daughter's typewriter which she gave to me with this: "Now that i have you, I don't have to carry this around with me any more." Wherever we went people would ask: "Is this your daughter?" And she always said "Yes!" Jan Clayton and I had many friends in common: musicians, actors and singers. So it was very easy to bond with her and I encouraged Jan to be an author and she was very successful. Sandra Jane Hayden was only two years and two months older than I am. I was baptized Sandra Amanda and my nickname was "Sandy" and is still "Sandy." Her father and step-mother had set up an elaborate website about Sandra Jane Hayden because they missed her so much. Now they are also gone. She was killed in a car accident at a time when people didn't use seat belts. Although Jan has a headstone next to Sandy's, she was cremated and her ashes were cast into the Pacific. For years she came to me in dreams and gave me advice too. Her children are not in theater and have no similar occupations.
For fifty years I have been a Document Examiner and that is how I earn my living.
For over 50 years I have also been a publicist for actors, singers, writers, composers, artists, comedians, and many progressive non-profit organizations.
I am a Librettist-Composer of a Broadway musical called, "Nellie Bly" and I am in the process of making small changes to it.
In addition, I have written over 100 songs that would be considered "popular music" in the genre of THE AMERICAN SONGBOOK. My family consists of four branches. The Norwegians and The Italians and the Norwegian-Americans and the Italian Americans.
