Born in Briary, Texas just outside Rosebud, Tx to Nettie Boyd White and Lester Jett White. He was the 13th child out of 15. He was born on his sister, Pauline White-Henson’s 16th birthday. He weighed 13 pounds. Sandy graduated from Briary High School and later on joined the U.S. Army. After his is tour in the military he met and married Lillie Mae Norman from Lott, Texas. They had three daughter’s, Carolyn White Smoot, Margaret Elaine White (deceased 1966) and Katherine Ann White. Four grandchildren, Jeni McBeth, Stephen McBeth, Teri Elaine Lee and Matthew Lee. Nine great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
