Stewart was born and raised in the Red Hook Projects of Brooklyn. At the age of 12, the family moved to a 3-bedroom apartment on 57th Street in Bay Ridge. Then Sunset Park Brooklyn and afterward back to a beautiful apartment in Bay Ridge Brooklyn on Ovington Avenue. Stewart left Manual Training High School to join the Air Force and was stationed in San Antonio and later in Massachusetts. He left the Air Force after a year. After working at various jobs in the garment industry, he specialized in Quality Control in English and Chinese and he worked on the Chinese Mainland.

I am a Librettist-Composer of a Broadway musical called, "Nellie Bly" and I am in the process of making small changes to it.
