Teno A Pollick
Teno Arthur Pollick was born Arthur Teno Pollick on July 14th, 1929 in New York to Andrew Pollick and Anne Teno. His father Andrew was born in Poland in 1885, and his mother Anne was born in Pennsylvania in 1890. He had one brother and one sister: Eleanor Marie Pollick (1911 - 1997) and Edward Pollick who was born in 1917. Arthur went by the name Teno Pollick during his acting career while living in Los Angeles. He actually began his career on Broadway, but of course is best remembered for appearing in the 1975 film "The Hindenburg", the television show "Time Tunnel" (1966), and as Manuel Lopez in "Madame X" (1966), and "Kojack" (1973). Even in small roles, he often shined onscreen. On October 23rd 1965, in the Abilene Reporter News in Texas, the author said that "Gunsmoke has one of those stories it has told several times before: a young Indian out to gain revenge on the lecherous white who stole the Indian's furs, killed his father and attacked his sister. But young Teno Pollick, as the Indian, will win your sympathy, and you'll find yourself rooting for him to turn out all right as he tracks down dirty no-good Neville Brand." According to the biography "Split Image: The Life of Anthony Perkins," by Charles Winecoff, Dutton, 1996, Teno Pollick was romantically involved with Anthony Perkins. It is believed that he was also romantically linked to actor George Maharis. There is no record of his having married, nor did he have children. Teno suffered from depression, and reportedly committed suicide in 1991 in Los Angeles, California, at the age of 61. A complete list of his films can be found at Filmography and see Find A Grave Memorial by Lowell Thurgood for more details about Teno's life.

I'm a Founder of AncientFaces and support the community answering questions & helping members make connections to the past (thus my official title of Founder & Content and Community Support ). For me, it's been a labor of love for over 20 years. I truly believe with all of my heart that everyone should be remembered for generations to come. I am 2nd generation San Jose and have seen a lot of changes in the area while growing up. We used to be known as the "Valley of Heart's Delight" (because the Valley was covered with orchards and there were many canneries to process the food grown here, which shipped all over the US) - now we have adopted the nickname "Capital of Silicon Valley" and Apple, Ebay, Adobe, Netflix, Facebook, and many more tech companies are within a few miles of my current home in San Jose (including AncientFaces). From a small town of 25,000, we have grown to 1 million plus. And when you add in all of the communities surrounding us (for instance, Saratoga, where I attended high school, living a block from our previous Mayor), we are truly one of the big cities in the US. I am so very proud of my hometown. For more information see Kathy - Founder & Content and Community Director
My family began AncientFaces because we believe that unique photos and stories that show who people are/were should be shared with the world.
