Terri Jean Daly was born on September 2, 1942, in Biddeford, Maine, USA, to Thelma and Thomas Daly, and had a brother named Thomas Jeremiah "Jerry" Daly. She graduated from Biddeford High School in 1960 and earned a Bachelor’s of Education from Springfield College in 1964, followed by a Master’s of Education from the University of Maine Orono.
Terri had a distinguished 36-year career teaching Physical Education at Wells High School, where she became one of Maine's first female high school Athletic Directors. She coached field hockey, basketball, softball, and track and field, earning acclaim as coach of "Regan’s Renegades". Her accomplishments led to inductions into the Wells High School Hall of Fame in 2004 and the Maine Field Hockey Hall of Fame in 2009.
On March 31, 1966, Terri married Robert M. Regan, and they resided in Kennebunk, raising their daughter Susan. They enjoyed summers at Mother’s Beach, Kennebunk, and spent time with family at Balch Lake, Acton, ME. Terri was a devoted grandmother to Abigail and Natalie, actively participating in their lives in Kennebunk. She had a passion for sports, supported local high school events, and enjoyed reading, puzzles, and card games with friends. During winters, she cherished time at Anna Maria Island, FL, playing with her granddaughters on the beach in retirement.
Terri J. Regan passed away at the age of 72 on Sunday, May 17, 2015, surrounded by her loving family at Seal Rock healthcare in Saco, ME.
