The 1900 and 1910 censuses agree with your grandmother and state that there were 13 children, 10 of whom were still living in 1900 and 1910.

Going by other people's research on Ancestry and FamilySearch, the three who died seem to have been:

1. Eugene Goulet (1868-1889), appears in 1880 Federal census and 1885 Minnesota state census. Nobody has a source for his death date.

1. Jeanette or Julia Jeanette Goulet (1885-1886) appears in the 1885 Minnesota state census. Nobody has a source for her death date.

3. Rose Goulet (1874-1877) appears in the 1875 Minnesota state census. Several family trees give her name as Rosalie Goulet. Nobody has a source for her death date.

I hope this helps. :)

I came from the Awe/Goulet/Gauthier heritage line. I’ve always been interested in my family background and just recently started a family tree. As where it’s fun to learn about my family it can get very confusing as you go along. On my Moms side her name was Thake. I would be very interested in any information I can get. I am also happy to share any information I have obtained for these same names.

I love antique photographs. In addition to sharing old photos of my family, I am also going through my collection of "antique store people". They've been sitting in a storage tub in my back room much too long and maybe some of their families will be able to find them here. If I'm able to identify the people in the photo, I upload it not only to AncientFaces, but also to Ancestry, FamilySearch, and Find-A-Grave. If the person in the picture is a military veteran, the photo also goes on Fold3. I figure that the more places I upload these pictures, the greater the chance that a relative will be able to find them.
