Melvinie Conaway of Haysi, Dickenson County, Virginia was born on September 29, 1927 to George W. Deel. Melvinie was baptized at Russell Prater Creek 1110 Cranenest Road. She married Buford Conaway, and had children Cledith Wayne Conaway, Kathy Sue (Conaway) Yates, Garnie Ray Conaway, Glena Mae (Conaway) Deel, Linda Carol (Conaway) Lockhart, and Rhonda Sharon (Conaway) Ramey. Melvinie Conaway died at age 52 years old on October 23, 1979, and was buried on October 25, 1979.
