Thornton GOULD
I have in my possession an old studio photograph of Thornton GOULD which was taken in Portland, OR at the Abell-Herrin Co. Studio sometime in the 1890's. Thornton is identified as being 7 months old at the time the photograph was taken. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Thornton and his family:

George Thornton GOULD was b. 24 Jul 1898 in Portland, OR to parents Oliver Jay GOULD (1873-1944) and Margaret Jean GARSON (1874-1950) who were married about 1894. Thornton was one of 6 children born to this couple including Marion Helen; George Thornton; Ronald Garson; Donald; Robert Jay; and Collin James GOULD, all born between 1896 and 1915. Thornton married Winifred M. SMITH (1904-1996) in Portland, OR on 2 Apr 1918. Thornton died 3 Jun 1974 in Washington Co., OR and is buried in the Mount Olive Cemetery of Laurel in Laurel, OR.

I am hoping to locate someone from this GOULD Family so that the photograph can be returned to the care of family. If you are a member of this family, or know someone who might be, please contact me.

Thanks,
Shelley
Date & Place: at Abell-Herrin Co. Studio in Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon United States
