Unknown Young Man

Old wooden case with gold colored frame, probably 1800's. Belonged to James H. Powell and his wife Mary Anna Ballentine Powell, Newark, NJ. Young man in photo looks to be between 15 and 20 years old. He is most likely from NY or NJ. Possible family names are Powell, Hamilton, Ballentine, Moran, Randell, Pridham, Grout or Hart.

Does anyone recognize this young man? If so, please let me know. I would like to return photo to his family.
