Vladik Severin Walcik of Gilmer, Upshur County, Texas United States was born on October 23, 1911 in Fort Bend County to Vlasta (Dusek) Walcik Rose and John Walcik. He had a sister Rosole Wallcik. He married Gaynell (Taylor) Walcik on May 6, 1946 in Yoakum, Lavaca County, and they were married until Gaynell's death on December 6, 1993. Vladik Walcik died at age 102 years old on October 29, 2013 in Upshur County, and was buried on November 2, 2013 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Yoakum, Lavaca County.
