Walter Heenan Bowen
I have an old studio photograph of Walter H. BOWEN which was taken at the Sutton Studio in Hornellsville, NY on 26 Feb 1904 when Walter was 21 years old. Walter gifted the photograph to Miss Emma PIKE who was from Geneseo, NY on 22 Mar 1904 when Emma was 15 years old.

Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Walter and his family:

Walter Heenan BOWEN was b. 22 May 1882 in Gainesville, NY to parents Stephen Decantor BOWEN (1850-1922) and Emeline Hilda PEARSON or PEIRSON or STITELER (1841-1910). Walter had two siblings, Lottie Isabel BOWEN (1877-1973) and Henry John BOWEN (1879-1948). Walter married Ada PATTISON (1878-1957) on 5 May 1908 in Toronto or York, Ontario, Canada.

Walter had a daughter from a previous marriage named Hannah BOWEN born in 1903 in England. Ada had two children from a previous marriage including Joseph COOKMAN (1899-1944) and Grace COOKMAN (b. 1905). Walter died in 1957 in New York and is buried in the East Koy Cemetery in East Koy, NY.

I am hoping to locate someone from this family so that the photograph can be returned to their care. If you are a member of this family, or know someone who might be, please contact me.

Thanks,
Shelley
