Obituary
William F. Holbrook, 93, of Winchester, VA died Tuesday, December 22, 2020.
Mr. Holbrook was born February 20, 1927 in Bel Air, MD; the son of the late Avery A. Holbrook and Annie Edwards Holbrook. He served in the US Army during World War II. He retired in 1991 from O’Sullivan Corp. He was a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church for 58 years. For the past 2 ½ years, he has worshiped at Blue Ridge Grace Brethren Church.
He is survived by his children, Sandra Holbrook Fletcher of Frederick County, VA and Patti Holbrook Hall (Richard) of Rising Sun, MD; long-time companion, Joyce Newlin of Winchester; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two great, great grandchildren; and one brother, Donald Holbrook of Rising Sun, MD. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Dale Holbrook; six brothers, Spurgeon, James, Emory, John, Kenneth, and Philip Holbrook; and two sisters, Inez Allen and Ann Elville.
A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Blue Ridge Grace Brethren Church with Pastor Davey Ermold officiating.

I'm a Christian, and I'm a daughter of Allan B. Holbrook, now in heaven. My married name is Debby Stevens.
My parents, Allan and Marie, were devout Christians, and had 10 children. They were both school teachers, but Mom quit teaching at public school after marriage. But both Mom and Dad home-schooled us all - starting when I was in 1st grade - that's when they came to the decision to home-school us. Dad earned an income through being an English teacher here in Traverse City, for man years. Dad started some Bible meetings that took place in the homes of friends of ours and in our own. He was the main teacher in it, and it was in a discoursing style - he would talk about spiritual things with the fathers of the families, each time, and all the children of the families would sit and listen to it all.
