William Inglis
I have an old photograph of William INGLIS which was taken at the Elite Portrait Studio in New York, NY on 8 Sept 1884. William appears to be in his teens or 20’s at the time it was taken. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding William and his family:

William Sloane INGLIS was b. 26 Mar 1866 in New York, NY to parents John INGLIS (1833-1917) and Agnes MCLEOD or MCCLAREN (1833-1909). William was one of four children born to this couple including John Keith; Catharine Ellen; William Sloane; and Agnes Courtney INGLIS, all born between 1860 and 1869. William married Sarah Louise MEEKS (1872-1943) in 1891 in Manhattan, NY and they had three children including Marie Louise; Evelyn S. H.; and John INGLIS, all born between 1892 and 1903.

William died 9 Jul 1945 in San Francisco, CA and is buried in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Bronx, NY.

I am hoping to locate someone from his family so that the photograph can be returned to the care of family. If you are a member of this family or know someone who might be, please contact me.

Thanks,
Shelley
