Womens Missionary Society Urbana Indiana
This picture is dated 1907. I learned the WMS stands for Womens Missionary Society. The woman on the last row, behind the woman with the M, is Mary Francis Harter Oliver, my great grandmother. Would love to hear from anyone you might recognize. The picture was taken in Wabash County, IN probably Urbana.
Update:
I have been going through old files on my computer and found email I received from someone who had the same picture with some names on the back! Also mentioned the picture was taken at Oliver home which was my great grandparents. The house is still standing.
Here is copy of that email:
"The picture of the WMS I have written on the back taken at the Oliver home, a farm at the east side of Urbana. My grandmother, Sarah Cook is the fifth on the back row from the left, and right in front of the pole. The person holding the M is Mrs. Printy (Phoebe) Child 4th is Orpha Printy (Devers). Sitting on chair #8 continuing from left Lousia Kratzer Speicher. Front row #1 Esther Speicher (Daughter of Joseph) #6 Ruth Speicher her sister. #7 Anna Speicher. The date taken is 1907 or 1908. "
