Public records indicate that Lonnie lived in Peru and La Salle IL and Crystal City MO There is also a report in the Quad-City Time, Daventport Iowa, on May 23 1990 that Lonnie S. Bierbrodt of East Moline and Judith A Bierbrodt of New Lisbon WI were getting a divorce. According to an article in the Courier-Post, Camden New Jersey, August 23 2002, "Bierbrodt was a 'violent felon' who served prison time for two armed robberies in the 1980s, including an incident of "armed violence" . . . Bierbrodt was serving three concurrent 20-year terms when released on parole in 1990." The article, which was written about 2 months after his death, continues: "After his release, Bierbrodt took a job as a driver with a small trucking firm. He lived in a trailer in Pierce City, Missouri. In a telephone interview this week, Bierbrodt's ex-wife, Carrie, confirmed that the couple lived there, among other places, before they divorced. Carrie, who is not under suspicion, does not believe her former husband would have killed Tammy." Note: the article was about the unsolved murder of Tammy Zywicki in August 1992. As of March 2021, her murder had not been solved. Lonnie was never arrested for the crime while he was considered a suspect. Obituary from Find A Grave: Lonnie Steven Bierbrodt, 41, of Peru died at 1:15 p.m. June 17, 2002, in his home after a battle with cancer. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church of Peru with the Rev. Ken Ter Bush officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Mr. Bierbrodt was born June 29, 1960, in Orlando, Fla., to Edward and Sarah (Bice) Bierbrodt. He served in the Army and was a professional truck driver for eight years until he became disabled in 2001. He raced and built cars. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Peru. Survivors are two sons, Hunter Everett Bierbrodt and Brock Sebastian Bierbrodt, both of Jacksonville, Fla.; his mother, Sarah of Peru; four brothers, Greg Bierbrodt of Atlanta, David (Lisa) Bierbrodt of Orlando, Fla., Marty (Becky) Bierbrodt of Bloomington and Eric (Chris) Bierbrodt of Clinton. He was preceded in death by his father in 2001 and one sister in 1981.
