There's no identification of the children but the photo is entitled "Their First Glimpse" - of the tree, obviously, they're not looking at the presents!
My grandmother was born in 1908 in England and she used to describe their Christmas tree in England. She said that her parents would decorate the tree on Christmas Eve after she and her brother and sister were in bed. When they got up in the morning, the tree would be in its full glory with candles as lights. Sounds dangerous but I'm certain, from the way she described it, her face must have been just like these children's.

Hattie Morse Burrell was born January 15, 1873 in Weymouth, Norfolk County, Massachusetts. She is found on the 1880 & 1900 census with her parents George Everett and Ella (maiden name Tirrell) Burrell in Rockland, MA, along with her sister Ruth Dyer Burrell. Also on the 1900 Census she was listed as a book-keeper. On the 1910 & 1920 census of Rockland, MA she is found with her husband Franklin Dunlap Douglass and her two children, Robert Lincoln & Charlotte Reeves. Then finally on the 1930 census her daughter Charlotte, her husband William Edgar Russell Parkman, and there two children are living with Hattie in Pembroke, Ma. I know Hattie later moved to Maine. Not sure if that is where she stayed or if she returned to Massachusetts later. The photo was taken by E.A Bass photographers in Rockland, MA.
