Alvord Orville Case
I have an old studio photograph identified as Alvord CASE which was taken at the Rodgers Studio in Hartford, CT sometime in the 1890's. Alvord appears to be in his 60's at the time the photograph was taken. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Alvord and his family:
Alvord Orville CASE was b. 6 Mar 1845 in Barkhamsted, CT to parents Jason CASE (1800-1882) and Corintha or Corinthia BLISS (1801-1893) who were married in 1825 in Connecticut. Alvord was one of four children born to this couple including Laura Maria; Luzerne; Lambert B.; and Alvord Orville CASE, all born between 1826 and 1845. Alvord married Sarah Jane CASE (1840-1907) on 29 Apr 1861 in Barkhamsted, CT and they had two children, Edgar Burdette CASE (1865-1922) and Woodruff Leon CASE (1868-1951). Alvord died 29 Apr 1922 in Barkhamsted or West Granby, CT and is buried in the East Hartland Cemetery in Hartland, CT.

PFC Mac Case - WWll
I need your help finding information on PFC Case. He was called Mac (could be a nickname). He was in the 8th Infantry Division, US Army stationed at Fort Jackson, South Carolina in 1945. After WW2 he stayed in the Columbia, South Carolina area and at one time he owned or worked at a automobile garage. He may have been from the Columbia area originally. I have a photo of him in his uniform and he appears to be in his 20's, Probably born in the 1920's.

Oresco was born November 1883 in Ill. to John and Jennie Hibbs. In the 1900 US Census she was attending school, while in the 1910 US Census she was a teacher at the county school in Astoria. By 1920, she was an accountant in a bank.

His daughter Nancy Hellen Case became my g-grandmother when she married James Thomas Pulley.

My dad, George William Case, was born 2-2-22 in Springer, New Mexico. He is an only child. My 3 sisters and I, and all our children (8 in all), were born in Albuquerque, NM. My dad's dad was William Albert Case who was born 1-17-1896 in Clinton, Iowa. My grandfather and his brother Charlie and sister Florence were orphaned, and their aunt finished raising them. I never met Charlie, and I don't know if he and my grandfather were estranged or just lost contact. I met Florence several times growing up, but we were never close to her. If anybody is related to any of the above, please contact me.
