I was told by my Grandmother Delores Cheek Brewer that her father Ora Franklin Cheek was injured as a child leaving him disabled. I was told that he was jumping a creek as a child and broke his leg. The leg never healed correctly and as a result he had to wear a special boot because one leg was significantly shorter than the other.
