Nancy Cheek
Nancy Lewis was born on January 22, 1902 to parents Mary Elizabeth "Polly" Cornett (1866-1932) and Abner Critt Lewis (1861-1932). She had older siblings Martha, John, James, and Elbert, as well as a younger brother Harvey Lewis. They grew up living in Lower Poor Fork, Harlan, Kentucky, USA. She married Floyd Cheek (1903-1976) in 1924. Together they had a son, Ralph Cheek (1925-1941) and a daughter Gevenia Cheek (1926-1994). The family lived together in Harlan, Kentucky.
