A photo of Charlotte Mignon Crabtree (1847-1924) stage actress Little Lotta Crabtree 'The Nation's Darling' was born in New York City to parents John Ashworth Crabtree (1825-1894) and Mary Ann Livesey (1821-1905). Raised in the gold mining hills of San Francisco she learned to sing, dance and play the banjo with some help from the actress, Lola Montez (1821-1861). From the mining camps to the stage she became the highest paid actress of her time, but also one of the most generous. She was responsible for many philanthropic gestures and left an estate of some four million dollars in a charitable trust. She never married and died in Boston, Massachusetts 1924.

My Dad was a quite and kind man. The loved his family with all his heart. He made sure that my brother and I had our homework done. I didn't understand his wanting us to do our best in school until I had my own children. He could take a simple meal and turn it into a gourmet meal. He served his hometown by being involved in the Chamber of Commerce. Getting the rodeo grounds cleaned up and cooking for the Cache Western Days. He was a charter member of the booster club. His Family settled in Cache in 1907. He was the son of Hiram(Bud) and Nora Crabtree. Along with his brothers J M and Marvin they kept their mother very busy. Dad had four grandkids,three grandsons and one granddaughter. He treated them equally. Sadly he got to see the two older grandson and granddaughter graduate from high school,but was in spirit when the last two grandsons graduated. He loved to fish And now somewhere above he sits on a creek bank with fishing pole in hand and smiling at us and saying will done my family.
