She and Richard Clayton Newman married on October 29, 1909 in Gladwin, Gladwin County, Michigan United States, and they were married until Richard's death on June 15, 1919 in Gladwin United States. Mariah Newman died at age 76 years old on August 6, 1927 at Home of her son Eber Goheen in Sherman Township, Gladwin County, and was buried on August 7, 1927 at Butman Township Cemetery Cemetery Rd, in Gladwin.
