Irene Elsie Kaufman Dovel

I have an old postcard photograph of Irene Elsie KAUFMAN of Kerrick, IL which was taken when she was just 4 1/2 years old. The photograph appears to have been taken some time between 1904 and 1918. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Irene and her family:

Irene Elsie KAUFMAN was b. 27 April 1908 in Hudson, IL to parents Christian Leonard KAUFMAN (1880-1947) and Clara Martha or Marthia UMMEL (1887-1975) who were married 12 Sept 1905 in Yuton, IL. Irene had two brothers, Earl Samuel KAUFMAN (1913-2010) and Harol or Harold Christian KAUFMAN (1914-1974). Irene was married three times, first to Clifford F. or L. DOVEL (1904-1962) on 29 Aug 1934 and they had two sons, Kenneth Ralph DOVEL (1935-2000) and Marvin K. “Skip” DOVEL (1940-2020); second to John Wesley RUBIN (1892-1974) on 5 Mar 1965; and Ralph Aaron FORNEY (1907-2005) on 17 Sept 1975 in Carlock, IL.

Irene died 17 Nov 1987 in Meadows or Graymont, IL and is buried in the Kaufman Cemetery in Hudson, IL.
