She married Dwayne Edward Newman Jr. on July 14, 2009 at Chillicothe Court Clerk 26 South Paint Street, in Chillicothe, Ross County and they later divorced on May 26, 2021. Donald James Laessle, 60, of South Salem, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at his home, following a brief illness. He was born on September 22, 1957, in Chillicothe, to Glen Reinhold and Wilma Irene (Estep) Laessle. In the fall of 1977, Don married his high school sweetheart, Gail Ann (Rossiter) Laessle, who survives. Also surviving is their daughter, Jennifer (DJ) Newman, of Chillicothe; three grandchildren, Eddie, Ollie, and Amelia; his four siblings, Paul (Brenda) Dunn, of Chillicothe, Tom Laessle, Rebecca James, and John Laessle, all of Bainbridge; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, close friends, and colleagues. Don retired from the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction in 2012 after 30 years of employment with the state of Ohio. He was extremely close with his colleagues and enjoyed spending time outside of work doing various activities together. In his free time, he enjoyed numerous outdoor activities including beekeeping, fishing, coon hunting, and gardening. He was also known for canning and baking. His favorite thing to do however was spending time with his two grandsons, Eddie and Ollie. They were truly the light of his life. He also loved spending time with his family, and had a very special and unique bond with his father Glen. They both enjoyed numerous hobbies together including beekeeping, and were also recreational pilots. In accordance with the wishes of the family, there will be no public calling hours or funeral services at this time. Thomas “Tom” Laessle, 60, of Bainbridge, died on Tuesday evening, July 12, 2022, at The Pavillion at Piketon, Piketon. He was born in Chillicothe, on Tuesday, August 8, 1961, the son of Glen R. and Wilma I. Estep Laessle. He is survived by his father, Glen R. Laessle, one sister, Becky James, two brothers, Paul (Brenda) Dunn, John Laessle, one sister-in-law, Gail Laessle, numerous nieces and nephews, and his special life-long friend, David A. River. He was preceded in death by his mother, Wilma I. Laessle, one brother, Donald J. Laessle, and his special companion and pet beagle, Diggy Dog; who went everywhere with Tom. Tom was a 1979 graduate of Paint Valley High School. He had worked in Chicago where he installed fireproofing in many of the city’s high-rise buildings. A graveside service will be held at 1PM on Friday, July 15, 2022, in Twin Township Cemetery, Bourneville, with Pastor Lee Hamilton officiating. No visitation hours will be held. Wilma Irene (Estep) Laessle was born on June 20, 1933. She was married to Glen Laessle on March 23, 1957 in Ohio United States, and had children Donald James Laessle, Thomas Laessle, Paul Dunn, John Laessle, and Becky Laessle. Wilma I. Laessle 88 of Bainbridge went to be with Lord Friday, January 7, 2022 from Westmoreland Place, Chillicothe. She was born June 20, 1933 in Ross County the daughter of the late Harry and Sarah Elizabeth (Lansing) Estep. On March 23, 1957 she married Glen R. Laessle, who survives. She is also survived by four children Paul (Brenda) Dunn, Tom Laessle, Becky James, and John Laessle; daughter-in-law Gail Laessle; seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and friends. Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; a son Donald James Laessle and several siblings. Wilma graduated from Frankfort High School; she was a founding member of Twin Township EMS; she served as the clerk of Twin Township for 29 years; she was a retired bus driver for Pioneer Center and Paint Valley Local Schools. She also had owned an upholstery business. Throughout the years Wilma was a past member of Fruithill Church, Plug Run Church and Spargursville CCCU. Wilma enjoyed reading her bible, canning, cooking, gardening and attending her flowers. Funeral Services will be 1 pm Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home, Bainbridge with Pastor lee Hamilton officiating. Wilma will be laid to rest in the Twin Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 am until the time of the service on Tuesday.

Reinhold Laessle of Frankfort, Ross County, Ohio was born on April 1, 1896. He was in a relationship with Florence (Reeser) Laessle beginning November 17, 1926, and had children Ralph Fredrick Laessle, Glen Laessle, and Dorthy McCarty. Reinhold Laessle died at age 72 years old in April 1968.

Ralph Fredrick Laessle of Chillicothe, Ross County, Ohio United States was born on November 1, 1926 to Reinhold Laessle and Florence (Reeser) Laessle. He had siblings Glen Laessle and Dorthy McCarty. He married Helen Louise Laessle in 1965, and had children Vicky A. Rauch and Keith Streitenberger. Ralph Laessle died at age 76 years old on November 1, 2002 at Westmoreland Place Cherry Street, in Chillicothe, and was buried at Little Mound Cemetery in Chillicothe.

Florence (Reeser) Laessle of Bainbridge, Ohio United States was born on March 15, 1909 in Indianapolis, IN, and died at age 71 years old on July 12, 1980.

Helen Louise Laessle, 91, died Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Traditions of Chillicothe following a short illness. She was born June 20, 1921 in Madison, West Virginia, the daughter of Dennie and Ada Cooksey Wright. The family moved to Ross County when she was six when her father was offered the opportunity to join a farming operation. She was a graduate of Centralia High School. She worked for many years in the maternity ward of the old Chillicothe Hospital where she met the love of her life, Ralph Laessle. She attended Brookside Church. They were married in 1965 and they found a happiness that most people never know. They were inseparable - you never saw one without the other. Winter trips to Florida and weekend outings strengthened their bond. Sitting at home together and watching television in their restored railroad depot home at the corner of Buckeye Street and Piatt Avenue was just as enjoyable to them since they were together. Ralph was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease and Helen cared for him at home for many years. He lived many more years at a local nursing home and Helen visited nearly everyday. Her devotion was deep and strong. Ralph died in 2002. Also preceding Helen in death were her parents and her first husband, Warren H. Streitenberger. She is survived by a daughter, Vicky A. Rauch and her husband, David, Wichita, Kansas; also by her son, Keith Streitenberger and his wife, Linda, Englewood, Florida; other survivors include grandchildren Jeremy Rauch (Larissa), Heather Rauch Wiens (Mark) and Michael, all of Wichita, Brandon Streitenberger (Robin), Greenfield, Ohio, Shelley L. Brown (Brian), Chicago, Illinois, and Sarah Streitenberger and friend Shaun Burchett, Columbus, Ohio; eight great-grandchildren also survive. The Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home is serving the family and friends may call there on Wednesday, April 3, 2013, from 10 am to 11 am. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 am in Little Mound Cemetery, Richmond Dale with Pastor Jack Norman officiating.
