Deborah Lin was born on October 9, 1967 in Honolulu, Hawaii United States. She was married to James Joseph Gandolfini, Jr. on August 30, 2008 in Honolulu, Honolulu County, and they were together until James' death on June 19, 2013. Born at Eden Hospital, Castro Valley, in 1980, Jenny Han-Chi Lin was an exceptionally talented person, both academically in middle school, culturally in Chinese, musically in Piano and Orchestra, and physically in Dance and the many sports she participated in.
Jenny pursued many talents and interests. She sought and welcomed new challenges voraciously and kept her family busy driving her to her many activities. She started dance lessons at age three and continued for nine years. Jen also studied piano for eight years; she loved to play a duet version of Listz's "Hungarian Rhapsody" with her sister or father. Though at first she disliked the idea of Saturday School, she went to Chinese school every Saturday for seven years where she learned about her cultural heritage.
Beloved by all her many friends and family, she was an amazingly accomplished person by age 14, when she was brutally murdered in her own home shortly after coming home from Canyon Middle School in Castro Valley, California.
Though her family posted a $100K Reward and started the Jenny Lin Foundation, her Murder Case remains unsolved to this day, over 14 years later.
Rest now, Jenny, in the arms of GOD, until someday we shall all be able to see you again, and the terrible hurt and sadness we all now feel shall finally go away, when we see your wonderful smile once again.
