She was one of the protesters who entered the Central District Health (CDH) office while a board meetings was ongoing to discuss new coronavirus (COVID-19) health safety measures. Officers asked them to leave the building but she refused to comply so a CDH representative stopped her, placed her under citizens arrest and took her to the Ada County Jail in Boise ID.
- Yvonne went to the U.S. Capitol building in Washington, D.C., USA on January 6, 2021. That day, Donald Trump supporters breached the building while a joint session of Congress was certifying the vote of the Electoral College and affirming Joe Biden‘s victory in the 2020 presidential election. Later that day, she went on Facebook to share photos of herself and several people inside the building, which she captioned, “Patriots are in our house.” She was shown in a CNN report leaning out a window and yelling, “This is our house!”
As a result of the January 6 incident, Yvonne was arrested on March 3, 2021 without incident by Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Joint Terrorism Task Force members, Boise Police Department officers and Homeland Security Investigations agents on an arrest warrant issued by the U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C.
