Pancake name can be traced from WV in the 1700's to Germany beforehand. Amanda, Virginia, and Daniel were born to Daniel and Monica (Lutes) Pancake. Daniel V. Pancake was born to George E. Pancake and Rose Ella Pancake. George E. was born to Lily Pancake and Isaac Pancake. Isaac Pancake was born to Alfred Pancake and Sarah "Ann" Maddy. Alfred's Father was Isaac Pancake and his mother was Nancy Ratliff. This Isaac's father was John Kimble Pancake and his mother was Loretta Indacut. Lucinda Brandon and Abraham Pancake were John Kimble Pancake's parents. Elisabeth Ronningern and Andrew Pancake were Abraham's parents. Maria Agnes GODTSCHALK and Jost PANNEKUCH were Andrew's Parents. Andrew was Andreas PANNEKUCH until his immigration to the United States in the 1700's. He may have immigrated from Germany rather than England making Pancake of German origination but according to one source it is of English descent. Also, Jost's first name was also spelled Yost, Yoast and even Joseph; and his last name appears as Pannekuch, Pannekucher, Pannekuchen, Pannekuche, Pfannekuchen, Pennenkuchen, Pfannenkuch, Panacook, Pannekuck, Pannakucha, etc
