Sayfullo Saipov, a 29 year old male from Tampa Florida, has been initially identified as the man who drove a rented Home Depot truck on a bike path in Lower Manhattan, New York and killed at least 8 people and injured 11 or 12 others. He ran into a number of people before opening gun fire. Sayfullo Saipov became a resident of the U.S. in 2010 and was born in Uzbekistan.
Ironically, Sayfullo has a criminal record of traffic offenses all in Pennsylvania and Missouri.
