Born around 1508, Jane Seymour was Anne Boleyn's mistress as well as Katherine of Aragon. Henry wed her on the day Anne Boleyn was beheaded, although she was never crowned queen. She had a very strict and modest personality. Within a year, she gave birth to Henry's long-awaited son, Prince Edward VI. But she died less than 2 weeks after his birth of puerperal fever. She was 29 years old. She was also the 5th cousin of her husband, Henry the VIII of England.
