Martin Winko of New Carlisle, St Joseph County, Indiana was born on October 26, 1883, and died at age 84 years old in September 1968.
Wendel Winko of Natchez, Adams County, Mississippi was born on July 22, 1900. Wendel Winko was married to Gladys Winko on July 18, 1959 in Vidalia, Concordia Parish County, Louisiana United States, and they were together until Wendel's death in October 1979.
This woman was the closest thing to satan when she was alive. She destroyed anyone she came in contact with. The entire family felt horrible for her 2nd husband Wendell Winko, who was a truly fine man, that he had to endure her. Her first husband killed himself ... very probably to escape her. She tormented her three daughters to the -literal- point of insanity and was so filled with hate that she told her grandchildren that all of the mental/emotional issues their mothers were having, was their fault. Consider yourself lucky that you never met her ... truly terrible, that there are people like this in this world. I remember getting the word in 1985 that she had died, and the relief I felt. I've felt unabated hate for her for over 60 years ... that's how evil she was. Two of her grandchildren are suffering permanent psychological damage directly related to her behavior. One of her grandchildren was so affected by the hate and abuse she spread, that it caused her such psychological damage that she drank herself to death as did her mother and aunts. I remember Gladys being a member of the KKK, and even saw her white robe as a teenager. I can't seriously believe anyone grieves her passing.
