A "real photo" postcard of a school in Sweden. This was found in an antique store in Belton, Texas. The message on the back (uploaded separately) is in Swedish and the postcard is addressed to Fred Nelson and his wife. I can't make out the handwriting well enough to try using translation software on it.

Photo found at Garage Sale Warehouse in Beaverton, Oregon, September 2018. Photo by Swedish photographer Bernhard Hakelier, the chief photographer of King Oscar II. Taken in Orebro, Sweden. His first building, the address on the back of this photo, burned down on November 1890, so that would be the latest date for this photo (he rebuilt at another location the following year). Between 80,000 and 90,000 glass photographic plates were lost in the 1890 fire.

Edla Marie as a young woman. She was born in Finland and when she was a young girl, Edla was sent to Sweden with her sister. They lived with other family there, since their parents had died during Finland's potato famine.

A photo of Johannes Wilhelm Jaeger, 1832-1908. Johannes Jaeger was the Official Photographer to the Swedish Royal Family in the 1860's. He was born in Berlin, Germany, but spent much of his career in Scandinavia. He was considered one of the foremost photographers of his age. My Swedish Great Grandparents from left is Uncle Clarence who was killed by Fidel Castro in Cuba, My great grandfather, Ernst Wilhelm Nordberg, Next to him standing is my Aunt Ellen Christina Nordberg, Sitting is her mother, my great grandmother, Christina Larsdotter Nordberg (sometimes her maiden name is spelled Larson), next to her with the little pout is my uncle Ernest Herbert Nordberg who was hit by a car and killed in his old age in Florida.
