Per the "Fulton County Folks" article, Albert Alexis CAMPBELL was
born on the family farm near Leiters Ford, IN. He attended the University of
Michigan at Ann Arbor, MI, and graduated there in 1897. He married Orpha,

In 1912, A.A. CAMPBELL moved his family, including the 2-year-old Albert
Angus, to Portland OR. Albert had obtained a position to teach in one of the
high schools and later became a school principal. At the time of his retirement in 1938, Albert was principal of one of the largest grammar schools in the city.
Albert survived about 15 years after his wife's death. He died in 1957,
at the age of 85. "He had returned to Indiana several times, and the last time in 1947 to attend the 50th anniversary of his graduation from the University of Michigan.
