She married Rodney Carter Ablan and they separated in West Saint Paul, Dakota County United States, and had a child Lori L (Ablan) Hegner. Ruth Ablan died at age 69 years old on July 20, 1999, and was buried at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery Section 9-A Site 1156 7601 34th Avenue, South, in Minneapolis.
