we were US Steel in the south. my great uncle GW Puyrdy owned the Landlevler company. my dad was from North Carolina and born Hegler but later changed his name to Waldroup, his mothers maiden name. he didnt come to Arkansas until he was 15. all of his mothers siblings went different directions in the US. one was in the Navy,even at pearl harbor on the US North Carolina. he had an uncle Leroy whom he was named after that was in the Army,and settled in Baltimore ,Maryland. he had several other aunts and uncles that were siblings of his mother Jessie mae waldroup. the waldroup family still owns the mountain that my father grew up on in Robbinsville,North Carolina. the members of the family would all travel back and forth to DeWitt ,Arkansas from the places they all settled in through out the US. MY grandmother traveled with my grand father joseseph buick hegler but settled in DeWitt arkansas when the family put in the Landlevler company and invested in the city of Dewitt,building buissness up for other families and establishing them credit. they were well nown through out the south in the agriculture buissness. my great grand father William Bill Waldroup helped build the US highway system and there was even a state Highway Department built on the same lam
nd as the landlevler company. It was part of the structuring they helped put into the county of Arkansas alonf
g with the housing authority wich was part of the securities act of 1932 that still stands today. it all dates back to the Carnagie,Morgan,and Ford monopoly that backed the frederal reserve the first time and became the Ford bank that still stands today.
