Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" had a hobby of giving readings on stage and took speech lessons to improve delivery. The Women's club gave her $5.00 for readings. She was also in a play as Queen Ester. Her full-time employment was in various department stores. Herpolsheimers, Steketee's and Bon Marche.
