Sara has been married since October 10, 2020 to stage and screen actress Jennie (Eisenhower) Cheslock, granddaughter of President Richard Nixon and great-granddaughter of President Eisenhower.
Jennie talked about her grandfather in an interview and said "At Northwestern University some other students 'would be insensitive enough to say to my face something derogatory or negative about Nixon. It really struck me as very strange that someone wouldn’t understand that he’s my grandfather, a person whom I love.”
She also said about herself: "“I love being weird. I think at my core there’s just a little bit of quirkiness, a little bit of weirdness that allows me to access strange people. I think I’m at my best when I’m not playing someone who is just like me.”

Jennie Elizabeth Eisenhower is the daughter of David Eisenhower and Julie Nixon Eisenhower. Jennie grew up in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania and graduated summa cum laude from Northwestern University, which is in Evanston, Illinois.
She is a stage actress who had received many awards, including the Barrymore Awards, Best Actress in a Musical. She has also been an adjunct faculty member, teaching theatre at Temple University.
Jennie was married to Anthony Cheslock from 2001 to 2017 and they had one child. She has been married to Sara Neville since 2020 and they are still married.
