Katie K. Yago, 91, of Greeley, CO passed away May 24, 2014 at her residence in Greeley. She was born on December 4, 1922 in Brighton, CO to Junji and Haru (Takeshita) Arakawa. Katie grew up in Brighton and graduated from Brighton High School. On July 22, 1944 in Kersey, CO she married George Yago. Katie was a bookkeeper for Meadow Gold Dairy. She loved her flowers and gardening, she also enjoyed fishing and camping. She was a member of the Greeley Buddhist Temple. Katie is survived by a son, Norman (Barb) Yago of Greeley; daughter, Naomi (Jeff) Fitzgerald of Denver; grandchildren, Michelle (Ray) Vasquez of Greeley, Scott (Jen) Maricle of Boise, ID, Ashley Yago of Greeley, CO, Kaylee (Justin) Dickens of Paducah, KY, and Kyle Yago of Greeley; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Alice (Leonard) Mizuno of Brighton, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers and three sisters, and Sister Alice Mizuno's Husband, (Leonard).A celebration of life service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Adamson Chapel, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80634. Interment will be in Linn Grove Cemetery. To send condolences to the family visit www.adamsonchapels.com.
