Rufus and Lillian in Corsicana, Texas
This photo was found among some old photos that had
belonged to Melvina Burks Moore, my great-grandmother, in Coffee County,
Tennessee.
Does anyone recognize these people? The
words, Rufus and Lillian made in Corsicana, Texas, were written on the
back of the photo, but no surname. I have been told the last name may
be Peay.

Carroll Crisp Family?
I think that this is my great great great grandparents and some of their children. I believe that the photo was taken in Arkansas in 1847 after they had been removed from Kentucky on the Trail Of Tears. They were full blooded Cherokee.
Can you confirm that this is really the Carroll Crisp Family?

Travelers
I found this old photo in my Mother's things after she died, it has no markings on the back so I would guess it had something to do with her family. My Mother was raised in the San Angelo Texas area and her Mom's people were down around Beeville Texas, so this could have been some of them traveling to visit.

Captain John Henry Stout
This is a photograph of my great-great-great grandfather, Captain John Henry Stout. According to his obituary, published in the Dallas Morning News on 3 January 1891, he died in his home in Quitman Texas on 27 December 1890 of heart failure. His age is stated in the obituary as 93 and a half years. He was an adventurer, explorer, Indian fighter, scout, Veteran of the Texas Revolution and the Confederacy, Captain of the Texas Rangers, first sheriff of Wood county, and served in the Texas House of Representatives, Sixth Legislature, 1855-1856, representing Wood and Van Zandt counties.
