They had children Maria Guadalupe Babauta (Salas) Van Meter and Maria Rosario Babauta Salas. He was married to Milagro Aguon Quinata (1905-1969) and had children Oliva Topasna (1929-2011), Francisco Quinata Sanchez (1930-2011), Vicente Quinata Sanchez (1933-2008), Maria Quinata (Sanchez) Aquiningoc (1935-1998), and Jose Quinata Sanchez (1938-1993). Joaquin worked as a farmer and passed away on March 6, 1961.
