She had siblings Marie Candide "Lucienne" Boulanger (1910-), Gabrielle Boulanger (1914-), Joseph Lionel Gerard Boulanger (1916-1999), Joseph Roland Antonio Boulanger (1918-), Antonia Boulanger (1919-), and Robert Boulanger (1920-). She immigrated to the United States around 1930/1940 and lived in Westbrook, Cumberland, Maine, USA. However on September 6, 1937 she married Leonard James Porell (1912–1974) back in Windsor Mills, Quebec. The couple had three children together.
