Cecil Ruth Ray was the definition of a true lady. She loved her family, and worked hard to make sure they knew it. She lived her life as a homemaker, and worked hard to make sure her family had a beautiful home and witch to live. She loved to tell her grandkids stories about growing up in the Great Depression and going to “Josie parties.”There are not enough words to express what kind of woman she was, and she is missed dearly.
Jesse William Ray was a lifelong resident of Warren, Texas. During his senior year in high school (1945), he shipped off to Okinawa, Japan attached to the 24th Battalion Seabees in World War II. His mother picked up his high school diploma for him while he was away. He returned from the war and had a long and successful career in the insurance business, having worked for the American National Insurance Company for close to fifty (50) years. He was an indisputable pillar of the community, loved his family, and would do anything for them. He is greatly missed.
