My mom's side of the family is Swedish (and still lives in Sweden) and she instilled in me lots of Swedish heritage and traditions which has made me who I am today. My dad's side of the family is German and Irish and the most likely the side of the family I get all my freckles from. Family is so important, and welcome everyone to discover more about them, their history, and share about their loved ones who make up the history of who we are!

Reba M. (Ressler) Garner was the daughter of Frank and Bertha (Findley) Ressler. She was named Mabel Reba Ressler at birth, but hated the name Mabel and as an adult was always Reba M. She was the middle child of 9, and also the youngest girl in the family.
She completed 10th grade.
Reba and Ralph married in 1935 in Carlisle, PA. Their witnesses were 2 of her siblings: Anna and Clarence.
They had 5 children: Pauline, Jerry, Darlene, Cheryl, and Gloria.

Ralph Groff Garner is the son of Benjamin Franklin Garner (1885-1960) and Cora Mae Myers Groff (1887-1973). He was born on August 5, 1906 in Colerain Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, USA and had siblings Mary Elizabeth Garner (1908-1966), Ella Mae Garner (1910-1994), Clyde Joseph Garner (1913-1956), and Lester Charles Garner (1915-2012).
In March of 1935 he married Mabel Reba "Reba" Ressler (1913–1996) in Carlisle, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, USA. The couple resided in Manor Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, USA and had five children together: Pauline Reba (1937-2016), Jerry (1942-), Darlene Mae (1945-2004), Cheryl (1948-), and Gloria Garner (1951-).
After serving as a grain receiver for Pennfield Corp in Rohrerstown for approximately three decades, Ralph decided to retire in 1971. Following his retirement, he embarked on a new career as a messenger at Commonwealth National Bank located at Penn Square, where he dedicated his services for a decade before retiring once again in 1982.
He actively participated in the spiritual community as a member of Covenant United Methodist Church in Lancaster. He was an enthusiastic participant in the men's Bible class. In addition to his involvement with the church, he was a valued member of several senior citizens clubs. He held membership in his church's dedicated senior citizens group, the Otterbein Senior Citizen's Fellowship, and also actively participated in the Circle of Friendship at New Providence Church of God, forging meaningful connections and fostering companionship within these communities.
