Kenneth Ells Summit was born on August 25th, 1919 at home in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, to Charles J. Summit, born 1893, and Ella M. Dreer, born 1893. His father was born in Ohio and his mother was born in Pennsylvania. He had one half-brother, Bernard J. Summit, and a brother, Charles Dreer. Kenneth was a veteran of World War II and had a very distinguished career in the United States Army. See Kenneth E Summit: Military Service for the details. Kenneth Summit married Mary Elizabeth Barth (1926 - 2012) on October 27th, 1951 and they had one daughter. Kenneth died at the age of 77 on September 12th, 1996, in Mr. Lebanon, Pennsylvania. He is buried in Jefferson Memorial Cemetery in Pleasant Hills, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. See Kenneth E Summit: Obituary.
