Ayers Family Letter 1866 pt.1
Part 1 of a letter written by Daniel Ayers (born 1792 South Carolina) in 1866 to his great nephew, Daniel Ayers, (the grandson of Jacob and Mary "Polly" [McFadden] Ayers 'Ayres'.
Daniel Ayers lived in South Carolina and moved to Tennessee. His wife's name may have been 'Polly'. His brother, Jacob Ayers (born 1779) lived in South Carolina and moved to Missisippi with his wife, Mary "Polly" [McFadden] Ayers 'Ayres' (born about 1779). His brother, Moses Ayres, Jr. was born in Virginia in 1774 and lived in South Carolina and Choctaw County, Mississippi with his wife, Rachel [McFadden] Ayres 'Ayers', b.1774.
Daniel wrote many letters but this is the only letter that someone cared enough to keep and descendants later copied.

My Great Great Great Grandmother Mary Ann Ayers-Howard
Mary Ann Ayers was married to John Howard, who was born in 1913. They became plantation owners in Mississippi. There is a book published titled "Thomas Howard of Colonial America", this is about his father and their descendants. I am one of those descendants, but the last two people mentioned in this book are my great great grandparents Fernando James Howard and his wife, Alice Catherine Pomeroy-Howard. They became pioneers and homesteaders in Northern Saskatchewan in a district called "North Bend" in 1905. For more information, you can email me at [contact link]

Russell C Cokely of Glen Aubrey, Broome County, NY was born on October 23, 1920, and died at age 51 years old in May 1972.
