About me:
The day I heard the war started, we were in Abadan. First, Khorramshahr was attacked. When we heard the news of the attack on Khorramshahr, we had no picture of the war at all and did not know what the war was. They said that Iraq has invaded. We had no idea of war in our youth. We thought it was a passing incident and it was over. Local forces repel the attacks and this will end soon. The war started on September 20, 1959, and we did not know what war was until the second day of October, when the Abadan education building was bombed! After the attack on Abadan, we just understood the meaning of the war and what happened. It was the second day of October when we realized that the war was real and the war had begun. My mother did not know what to do with her 7 children.

My father's real name was Hassan and BenBensaeid was famous in America after 35 years of war and in 2010 I found out that he was a hardworking, kind and responsible man when he was our father. He worked for the British and Americans. After he left, he spent his university years as a hotel manager, and the hotel management was in charge of attracting tourists all over Iran. He was not harmed by anyone. Especially "Shiraz, I missed my father in Abadan. I wrote a letter to him. I was upset with him in the letter. The letter reached the Cyrus Hotel in Shiraz, but the workers opened the letter without my father's permission and pasted it on the window. He did not and then ... the beginning of an inconvenience

I'm a Founder of AncientFaces and support the community answering questions & helping members make connections to the past (thus my official title of Founder & Content and Community Support ). We used to be known as the "Valley of Heart's Delight" (because the Valley was covered with orchards and there were many canneries to process the food grown here, which shipped all over the US) - now we have adopted the nickname "Capital of Silicon Valley" and Apple, Ebay, Adobe, Netflix, Facebook, and many more tech companies are within a few miles of my current home in San Jose (including AncientFaces). From a small town of 25,000, we have grown to 1 million plus. And when you add in all of the communities surrounding us (for instance, Saratoga, where I attended high school, living a block from our previous Mayor), we are truly one of the big cities in the US.
