Matt Von Striver
About me:
I became interested in genealogy about a year or two ago. Since then, I have learned much about my German, English, Scottish, and Czechoslovakian heritage. My main purpose here is to honor my family.
About my family:
The Von Striver family is said to have been founded sometime in the early/mid 1920s, when James Horace Stiver decided to change his last name while running from a woman, according to family rumor. The family has made notable contributions to the world of technology and have become quite admired despite how small the family is, with only 35 individuals ever bearing the name. Some notable bearers of the name are Ronald Von Striver, beloved Texaco owner, MP, and Master Sergeant; Mark "Grok" Von Striver, a beloved inventor within the motorcycling community, and James Aldrich Von Striver, who made notable contributions to the founding of KTVU 2 in the Bay Area. Various parts of the family now live in California, Oregon, and Illinois.
