Elizabeth Ann (Bartosh) was born on May 29, 1969 at New York to Ron Bartosh and Suzanne (Toole) Davis Bartosh, and has a sister Meredith Kathleen Bartosh. Ronald Jerome “Ron” Bartosh was born on June 11, 1939 in Taylor, Williamson, Texas, USA to parents Jerome Ike “Jerry” Bartosh (1910-1983) and Bernice Maurine Barnes (1914-1964). He had two sisters and grew up in Austin, TX.
Ron graduated from Taft High School in 1957 and in June of 1962 he graduated from the University of Texas in Austin, Texas, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
After graduation, he joined NASA in 1962 where he worked on Apollo & Lunar Module projects. Later Ron joined both the Space Shuttle Orbiter & EMU teams. During the latter part of his career, he was assigned to the JSC Safety, Reliability, and Quality Assurance Office, where he served as the Business and Contract Manager. With an impressive 35 years of service at NASA, he retired on December 31, 1998, leaving behind a remarkable legacy of contributions to space exploration.
