Unknown Milwaukee Family
Unknown Milwaukee Family
I’ve “rescued” an old family photograph of three siblings taken at the Wollensak Studio in Milwaukee, WI. Their names and ages are, Otto age 16 ½; Franz age 12; and Lottie age 9 ½ with another name/word that looks like “Tafu” or “Tafo” or “Lafu” or “Lafo” or maybe the “f” is actually the “ss” seen in early handwriting? which may be “Years” in a foreign language? Or a surname? It is hard to tell but it appears after their ages so I think it could be either. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880’s or 1890’s when the studio was located at 450 National Avenue in Milwaukee. I’m hoping that this is enough information to track the family down and see the photograph returned to their care.

If you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me.

Thanks,
Shelley
